Romania's Otelu Rosu steel plant is set to restart after more than a decade of inactivity. The owner, UMB Steel, plans to produce roughly seven hundred thousand metric tons of long steel per year. The plant will use an electric arc furnace to recycle scrap metal. This will make construction materials like rebar and wire rod for the local market.
