Třinec Readies CCM 2 for a Mid-November Return
Czech steelmaker Třinecké železárny plans to restart its continuous casting machine No. 2 in mid-November 2026, The caster turns liquid steel into solid billets and blooms for the company's wire rod, bar, rail and tube-round mills, so its return restores full production flexibility ahead of the year-end order period. The company, the Czech Republic's largest steel producer, has been investing in efficiency and lower emissions, and the outage fits a wider pattern of European mills using weak demand in 2026 to carry out repairs.
