Turkish steelmaker Tosyalı has achieved a major milestone in Algeria, producing its first cold-rolled products at the new Bethioua complex. The facility will supply high-value steel to automotive and appliance manufacturers. The company invested $2.5 billion in the project. Algeria's export minister has promised to personally oversee the first export shipment. The expansion creates a complete steel production chain from local iron ore to finished products.
