Dutch prosecutors decide to criminally charge Tata Steel IJmuiden over "undercooked coke" emissions at its coke plants near Amsterdam. The company strongly contests the charges, pointing to a ninety-eight percent reduction in such incidents since 2020 and zero cases in 2024 and 2025. Both coke plants face closure under the company's Green Steel Project. A first court hearing is set for November 2026 at the Amsterdam District Court.
