Tata Steel has developed a fire-resistant E350 structural steel. The product is certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards under IS 15103. It retains two-thirds of its yield strength at 600 °C for three hours. The steel is designed for hollow tubes and sections used in pre-engineered buildings.
