WISCO, part of China Baowu, has awarded Primetals Technologies a contract to convert its CSP line into a 4.2 million metric ton hot-strip mill. The conversion follows a similar 2025 project at thyssenkrupp's Bruckhausen mill. It will produce premium steel grades including AHSS and silicon steels. Primetals will supply complete automation architecture for optimal control.
