Bharat Coking Coal Limited, part of Coal India Limited, has revived the Pootkee Balihari mine in Jharkhand under the Mine Developer and Operator model with Eagle Infra India for 25 years. The project aims to produce 52 million metric tons of coking coal, helping reduce imports, strengthen local steel production and create jobs. BCCL will earn 6% of the gross revenue, supporting reinvestment into safety and modernisation.
