LKAB appointed Peter Richardson as Senior Vice President for Business Area Iron Ore & Group Management Team member, effective Q1 2026. Richardson brings 30 years of mining industry experience, most recently as Executive Managing Director of Nevada Gold Mines where he managed ten underground mines, twelve open pits, & associated processing facilities. His background includes General Manager at Boliden's Aitik mine in northern Sweden & various positions at Lundin Mining. Richardson succeeds Michael Palo who remains through end-March 2026 for transition purposes. The recruitment occurred in consultation regarding incoming President & CEO Johan Menckel, who assumes his role April 1, 2026.
