Mesabi Metallics is investing eighteen billion dollars to build a fully integrated American steel company. The project unites a new iron ore mine in Minnesota with a steel complex in Iowa. It will create over eight thousand jobs and produce one hundred percent American steel. The company expects ninety-five billion dollars in economic output over ten years. This is the largest single investment in a United States steel complex.
