JSW's Juggernaut Jolts & Vijayanagar's Vigorous Vaulting
JSW Steel produced six point five nine million metric tons of crude steel in the first quarter of Financial Year twenty twenty-seven, growing three percent year on year. The result came despite a planned shutdown of Blast Furnace Three at its Vijayanagar plant for a capacity upgrade, which restarted on twenty-third June twenty twenty-six. Excluding that impact, underlying growth was approximately fifteen percent. The company targets combined capacity of fifty-four point eight million metric tons per annum within four years, making Vijayanagar the world's largest single-location steel plant.
