Jindal's Jetty Jump-start Joins Angul to the Ocean

Jindal Steel has opened the first part of its own cargo terminal at Paradip Port in Odisha. The terminal can handle 12.5 million metric tons a year now & will grow to 25 million metric tons when the second phase is finished. The company's subsidiary, Jindal Paradip Port, is building it under a long-term agreement alongside the Paradip Port Authority, at a cost of about $357 million. The terminal will bring in coking coal & ship out steel for the company's big Angul plant, giving it more control over its supply chain.
