Jindal Steel commissioned a 5 MTPA blast furnace at Angul that raises hot metal capacity to 9 MTPA. The company says the site is on track to 12 MTPA, now India’s largest single-location steel plant. Plans include a Paradeep port link, a slurry pipeline, a coal pipe conveyor, Shreebhoomi Power Plant, & new coke ovens. Leadership stresses automation, safety, & sustainability as the path to dependable supply, lower CO₂ per metric ton, & sharper global competitiveness.
