Polish steelmaker Huta Częstochowa signed a memorandum with Hyundai Rotem to assess armor steel supply for K2PL tanks. The agreement establishes a framework for technical and commercial discussions. The assessment will evaluate whether Huta Częstochowa's steel meets military requirements. Hyundai Rotem plans to manufacture sixty-one K2PL tanks in Poland and over eighty support vehicles. Huta Częstochowa obtained military manufacturing licenses in April and state ownership acquired shares in May. The collaboration supports Poland's defense industrial localization objectives.
