Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd will build a 2 million metric tons integrated steel plant in Sarora, Tilda, Raipur district, Chhattisgarh, after securing environmental clearance. Planned in two phases of 1 million metric tons each, this expansion strengthens GPIL’s vertical integration across mining, DRI, billets and pellets. Approved by the Expert Appraisal Committee, the project promises economic growth, job creation and sustainable steel production in the region.
