Federacciai has reiterated that global overcapacity and energy competitiveness remain key challenges for the European steel sector. The Italian steel producers association calls for strengthened trade defence instruments and coordinated action at European Union level. It emphasises that decarbonisation must advance without undermining Europe’s production capacity. The priorities were discussed in Brussels during EUROFER’s 50th anniversary event.
