British Steel's Bountiful Boost: £35m Turkish Triumph

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer will announce a £35 million ($44.2 million) rail contract for British Steel at the G20 summit, supplying Turkey's high-speed rail network. The deal creates new jobs at Scunthorpe's plant, building on £30 million ($37.9 million) already delivered to Turkish projects. This follows April's emergency government intervention that prevented the plant's closure through the Steel Industry (Special Measures) Act, granting authorities unprecedented control to preserve strategic steel production capacity.
