Britain's Beneficent Breakthrough: EU Banishes Steel Tariffs

Britain announced the European Union will eliminate tariffs on key steel products under a restored quota system starting Friday. The arrangement allows quarterly exports of up to 27,000 metric tons tariff-free, addressing competitive disadvantages British steel producers faced since Brexit. Trade Minister Jonathan Reynolds called it another positive step for the UK steel sector, providing producers the certainty needed to compete & maintain vital export relationships.
