ArcelorMittal has received an environmental permit to build a steel powder plant in Avilés, Spain. The facility will transform scrap metal into powder for 3D printing using an electric arc furnace and renewable energy. It will produce 1,800 tons of material per year for sectors like aviation and medical devices. The plant is fully equipped and awaits final product certification to begin operations.
