ArcelorMittal and China Oriental Group have launched the AMORNEX electrical steel brand in Changzhou, China. The joint venture project involves investment of approximately five billion yuan, over seven hundred forty-five million dollars. The facility will produce one point eight million metric tons of electrical steel annually. First phase production is scheduled for June 2027. The project supplies electric vehicle motors and industrial applications.
