ArcelorMittal Calvert advances construction of its one point two billion dollar non-grain-oriented electrical steel facility in Alabama, with major production line components now being integrated and optimised. The plant will produce up to one hundred and fifty thousand metric tons annually for electric vehicles, wind turbines, and industrial motors. First production is targeted for the second half of twenty twenty-seven. The project creates up to one thousand three hundred construction jobs and more than two hundred permanent positions, reducing US dependence on electrical steel imports.
