India has approved its largest greenfield steel plant in Andhra Pradesh. The $1.5 billion facility will be built by AMNS India, a joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel. It will have an annual production capacity of 13.2 million metric tons. The project received environmental clearance with strict conditions for sustainable operation.
