Ukraine struck the Alchevsk steel plant in Russian-occupied Luhansk Oblast for the second time in a month on April 4, 2026. The Security Service used domestically made FP-2 drones to hit blast furnaces, workshops & power infrastructure, halting all production. The plant supplies steel to Uralvagonzavod, which manufactures Russia's T-90M tanks & Msta-S howitzers. On the same day, President Zelenskyy imposed new sanctions on fifty-seven Russian military-industrial entities, targeting weapons producers, sanctions evaders & companies operating in occupied Ukrainian territory.
