Tubos Reunidos' Turbulent Tryst: Amurrio's Arduous Awakening
Tubos Reunidos restarted production at its Amurrio plant in Spain on May twentieth, twenty twenty-six, after workers suspended a strike that began on March sixteenth. The company entered voluntary administration in early May, pausing but not cancelling its proposed redundancy plan. Trade unions ELA and LAB warn that protests may resume. A critical court meeting between the judge, insolvency administrator, management, and unions is set for May twenty-sixth to determine what employment measures are permitted during the administration process.
