US President Donald Trump signs an executive order cutting Section 232 tariffs on select steel and aluminum products from twenty-five percent to fifteen percent, effective June eight, twenty twenty-six. Foreign manufacturers using at least eighty-five percent American-smelted metal in their equipment qualify for an even lower rate of ten percent. The reductions cover agricultural machinery, residential heating and cooling equipment, and mobile industrial equipment, and remain in effect until the end of twenty twenty-seven.
