Stainless Steel Surge: Asia's Ascendant Alloy Amplifies Amid Adversity

The World Stainless Association reported global stainless steel production reached 64.2 million metric tons in 2025, marking a 2.1% increase. Asia dominated with 55.3 million metric tons, while the United States achieved remarkable 7.6% growth to 2.1 million metric tons. The European Union declined 1.9% to 5.7 million metric tons, reflecting regional competitive challenges & strategic repositioning toward specialty grades.
