SSAB supplies its SSAB Zero™ decarbonized steel to Vattenfall for a solar park in northern Germany. More than nine thousand steel profiles, totaling two hundred and nine metric tons, go into the project's mounting structures. The steel is made from recycled scrap using fossil-free electricity and biogas, cutting fossil carbon emissions by up to seventy percent. Both companies say the project shows how supply chain decarbonization can reduce the true climate cost of building renewable energy infrastructure.
