Salzgitter AG has opened a new training & communication centre at its Ilsenburger Grobblech quarto plate plant in Ilsenburg, Germany. The facility, co-funded by federal & state governments at a cost of several million euros, offers up to twelve industrial mechanic apprenticeships each year. It also provides long-term upskilling for existing staff. Saxony-Anhalt Premier Sven Schulze attended the inauguration, calling skilled workforce investment critical amid Germany's deepening demographic challenge.
