Salzgitter Flachstahl has launched the HR660Y760T-CP-GI, a hot-dip galvanized bainitic complex phase steel for automotive chassis applications. The grade delivers a minimum yield strength of six hundred and sixty megapascals and tensile strength above seven hundred and sixty megapascals, combined with bilateral zinc corrosion protection. An enhanced xpand® variant guarantees hole expansion ratios of up to fifty percent for complex forming operations. The material is already in series production at premium vehicle manufacturers and supports significant weight reduction in chassis components.
