Steel Authority of India Limited & GAIL Gas Limited sign a Gas Sale Agreement to supply industrial piped natural gas to the Rourkela Steel Plant in Odisha. GAIL Gas will deliver 8,000 standard cubic metres of natural gas per day for iron fabrication processes. The deal aims to cut carbon emissions, improve fuel efficiency, & support India's clean energy goals. Rourkela Steel Plant, commissioned in 1959, is India's first post-independence integrated steel facility.
