ResponsibleSteel is a global non-profit organization that sets and certifies responsible production standards for the steel industry. Its International Standard, updated to Version 2.0 in September 2022, covers twenty-one criteria across environment, labor rights, human rights, and community engagement. Over fifty major companies including ArcelorMittal, Tata Steel, POSCO, Mercedes Benz, and Volvo Cars are members. The standard is aligned with ISEAL Codes of Good Practice and supports the industry's transition toward net-zero carbon steel production.
