Qarmet has begun active construction of a new rolling mill at its Temirtau steelworks in Kazakhstan, installing the first metal support structure at the site. The new facility targets annual production of 540,000 metric tons of high-strength A600 & A1000 rebar, angles, & channels. Total investment stands at approximately 84 billion Kazakhstani 7tenge, equivalent to around $168 million. First commercial rebar shipments are expected before the end of 2026.
