Steel Authority of India Limited partners with Primetals Technologies for major IISCO plant expansion in Burnpur. The project includes a 4.2 million metric ton annual capacity pelletizing plant, three ladle furnaces, and two RH degassers. Commissioning scheduled for early 2029 will enable high-grade steel production for oil and gas sectors while increasing total facility capacity to 7.1 million metric tons annually.
