Odisha's Ore Odyssey: Pellet Plant's Prodigious $83M Promise

Odisha Mining Development Corporation, the state government's mining arm, plans to build a new iron ore pellet plant at a cost of approximately eighty-three million US dollars, equivalent to around six hundred and ninety-two crores of Indian rupees. The plant will convert raw iron ore fines into high-value pellets used by steelmakers across India. The investment supports India's national target of three hundred million metric tons of steel capacity by twenty thirty and advances the state's strategy of capturing greater value from its mineral wealth.
