India & Russia's Robust Rapprochement: Rallying Round Raw Steel

India & Russia have begun formal talks to expand cooperation in the steel sector, covering raw material supply, technology sharing, & joint investment. India imports around fifty-five million metric tons of coking coal each year and needs far more as it targets three hundred million metric tons of steel capacity by twenty thirty. Russia's vast coal & gas reserves, combined with its advanced steel technology, make it a strategically valuable partner for India's industrial ambitions.
