Fujitsu commenced a blockchain-powered demonstration experiment in December 2025 to track green steel value flow across supply chains. Selected by Japan's METI under the FY2025 Industrial Research Project, the initiative addresses critical challenges in maintaining environmental value integrity throughout complex steel manufacturing networks. The three-month experiment utilizes advanced blockchain technology & data distribution platforms to prevent double-counting while ensuring secure transmission of green steel certificates from manufacturers to end consumers.
