Feralpi Stahl is expanding production at its Riesa plant in Germany from one million to one point three million metric tons per year, driven by a new two hundred and twenty million euro rolling mill for rebar in coils. The mill opened in May 2025 and currently runs on two shifts, with three-shift operations planned from 2027. Chief Executive Uwe Reinecke says the rollout is on track and the new product is gaining market acceptance. The investment is one of Germany's largest recent commitments to green metallurgy.
