The European Union and the United States have reached a landmark trade agreement eliminating tariffs on all American industrial goods entering the EU market. The deal also grants preferential access for selected US agricultural and seafood products and includes strong safeguard clauses to protect European industries. EU-US trade in goods and services exceeded one point seven trillion euros in 2025. The measures apply until the end of twenty twenty-nine, with the possibility of further extension.
