Coffee Heat, Clean Steel: Electra's Alchemic Achievement
A US startup, Electra Steel Technology, invented a way to make pure iron at just 60 degrees Celsius. This temperature is as low as a cup of hot coffee. The process uses electricity and chemistry, not coal. It works on low-grade iron ore, which is often considered waste. This breakthrough could eliminate carbon emissions from ironmaking and transform the global steel industry.
