Turkish steelmaker Ekinciler Demir Celik has selected Danieli to supply advanced billet welding technology for its rolling mill. The sixth‑generation Horizontal Billet Welder will enable Turkey's first endless rolling operation through head‑to‑tail billet joining. The system achieves 180 metric tons per hour productivity while reducing cleaning operations by 50% through redesigned maintenance features. Startup is scheduled for the second quarter of 2027. The technology supports sustainability goals by cutting energy consumption and material waste.
