Danieli signs a contract to supply a fifty-five metric ton ECS Zerobucket electric arc furnace to Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel Group in China. This is Jiyuan's first electric arc furnace, marking a major shift from traditional carbon-intensive steelmaking to cleaner, low-carbon production. The new furnace uses continuous scrap charging and scrap preheating to cut energy use and reduce harmful emissions, bringing Danieli's total installations of this technology in China to thirty-two.
