Beijing's Ban Buried: BHP & China's Bonhomie Blooms Anew

China has cancelled its informal ban on BHP iron ore usage after the two parties agreed on a long-term supply deal. The ban had restricted Chinese steel mills from using BHP's Pilbara iron ore, creating procurement complications & higher costs. Australia supplies around sixty percent of China's seaborne iron ore imports, making the restriction commercially unsustainable. The agreement marks a significant step in the ongoing normalization of Australia-China trade relations across multiple commodity sectors.
