CCSU Consortium’s Collective Crusade Cuts Carbon Corridors
A CCUS Hub Study consortium screened 3,000 Asian sites down to five hubs across India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Australia. The project, backed by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, JSW Steel, Hyundai Steel, BHP, Chevron, and Mitsui, now enters Phase 2 with new partners “K” LINE, Kobe Steel, and LETA. Hard‑to‑abate industries like steelmaking, emitting 30% of industrial CO₂, require shared storage infrastructure. The hubs could store 150 million metric tons annually by 2035.
