Arvedi's Audacious Amperage & Cremona's Electric Metamorphosis

Italian steelmaker Arvedi is investing €82.5 million in its Cremona plant to produce non-grain-oriented electrical steel, a key material used in electric motors and generators. The Italian government is backing the project with up to €22.5 million in state support through investment agency Invitalia. The ARVES program also includes upgrades to the plant's vacuum treatment systems and research into greener automotive steels. Cremona is already Europe's first flat steel mini-mill and will now target the fast-growing electric vehicle supply chain.
