ArcelorMittal has set a target of zero fatal accidents by 2027 after dramatically improving safety performance. The company reduced lost-time accident frequency from three in 2007 to 0.68 in 2025. The European steel industry supports 300,000 direct jobs and contributes hundreds of billions of euros to the EU economy annually.
