Dabrowa's Dormant Dragon Dramatically Draws Breath Again

ArcelorMittal Poland restarts blast furnace No. 3 at its Dąbrowa Górnicza steelworks on 28 April 2026, after more than seventy days of repairs costing approximately sixty million Polish zlotys. Up to three hundred specialists from twenty companies completed the work on time & safely. The company cites stabilising European steel demand & upcoming regulatory changes, including the EU carbon border tax & new import quotas, as the key drivers behind the decision to recommission the previously idled unit.
