Industeel’s Ingenious Investment Injects Industrial Impetus
ArcelorMittal Industeel commissioned a new vertical continuous casting machine at its Le Creusot plant after a €52 million investment, partly funded by France 2030. The equipment enables thin-slab production, shortening the production cycle and eliminating one rolling stage. Initial output reaches 15,000 metric tons annually, rising to 25,000 metric tons. The company expects CO₂ emissions at the site to fall by 10% while expanding flexibility for energy transition markets.
