Aperam's stainless steel meltshop in Genk, Belgium, has completed a major upgrade featuring two 130-ton AOD converters enhanced automation systems from Primetals Technologies. The project includes advanced environmental technologies waste heat recovery systems that reduce emissions while capturing thermal energy. Automated systems reduce vessel exchange times to less than one hour while improving operational safety & production flexibility.
