Volvo is increasing production of its fully electric EX60 SUV after receiving more than 3,000 orders in Sweden alone during the vehicle's first month on the market. The company is negotiating with unions to keep its Torslanda factory open for an extra week this summer, a first in the plant's 61-year history. The EX60 is the first serial production vehicle to use SSAB Zero decarbonised steel, reducing steel-related emissions by approximately 87%. This success contrasts with broader challenges including US tariff uncertainty and a 10% overall sales decline.
